Somatic Exercises

Movement - 9 minutes

 
 

Authentic movement or dance, whether for 7 or 35 minutes (at least two Madonna songs), moving however the body feels, not trying to look cool or keeping any routine (‘dance/move like no idea is watching’). Following your impulse and sensation the whole time, allowing for not knowing what is going to come next. Play with this, see what the body wants to release and observe how you feel after.

My experience: I love to add in stretching, getting curious about the different ways my body can move and surprised how achey I get now that I am older. Feel much looser and clearer after and so smiley too.

My suggestion: Whenever you hear a good song, start your morning with it
