Somatic Exercises

Sensation - 8 minutes
Following the organic and emergent nature of the body’s sensations. Just by stopping and removing external stimulation, phones, books, to-do lists and turning our attention inwards to what sensations are present. temperature, movement and pressure. This might be the touch of fabric from your clothes, the warmth of the sofa as you sit or the shower against the skin.
My experience: I like dropping into a quiet moment of feeling after food or a shower. Find a nice sensation and then follow it, no judgments, seeing if it moves, grows, changes. I like to add visuals of images, colours and textures to embed into memory.
My suggestion: Take 5 minutes when you can. Follow the 3S’s when you get a sensation: STAY, SENSE, SAVOUR!
