Somatic Touch - 5 minutes

 
 

Something we are all missing right now during times of restriction. Start by sensing into the body to see what feels ‘good’ and what ‘needs some love’. Then slowly, consciously and with loving intention place a hand to either savour the good or comfort a spot in need. Practice shifting your attention between where the hand meets the body, and then, where the body meets the hand.

My experience: So nice to do when we remember our body is with us through thick and thin. Offering this simple touch, brings resonant and caring energy to places I have forgotten. I like the heart space and holding the front and back of the skull with both hands at the same time ('occipital hold').

My suggestion: Can be done in 30 seconds if needed. Just feel into it. Immediate.
